Definition: A minisite is a small website consisting of only a few pages (usually 5 or less) that is designed to make a modest recurring income with little work after initial setup.
There are three main types of minisites:
- Sales Letter: minisites designed to sell a product such as an eBook or script, or a physical product
- Affiliate Showcase: minisites where you recommend an affiliate product or products
- Name Squeeze: minisites designed to build your list
I want to make big money. Why build small minisites?
The idea behind minisites is not to make a huge amount of income on any single minisite–although this can happen. Rather your goal for a minisite should be around $10-$20 per day. However, because they are so easy to create, taking only a day or two to set up, you can create many of them, and together make a very sizeable income.
Minisites are the perfect way to get your feet wet if you’re just beginning to build websites as they are quick and easy projects. They are also ideal for those of you who work 40 hours a week (or more) since you don’t have to maintain them every day.
And for those of you who who have created a website before but have never created a minisite, they create not only additional revenue streams, but, done carefully, can be used for link building as well.
